The rules are based on the TRUE-d6 engine, which uses a roll-under mechanic with 1d6 against an attribute to determine success. The closer the result is to the tested value, the better the success — and if it's equal, it's a critical success.
Skill Grid
Unlike the original TRUE-d6, this game uses a skill grid. Starting from an initial class, characters can evolve by selecting new skills connected to those they already know. Each quadrant of the grid contains skills related to a specific class, and creating hybrid characters is not only possible — it's encouraged.
Enemies
Divided into biological and mechanical types, the 54 creatures featured in the manual offer challenges for every group of characters. Biological and mechanical enemies are differently affected by player abilities.
Starship Combat
Using a hex map and the tokens included in the manual (along with their digital versions), you'll bring intense space battles to life. Each of the 20 different starships comes with unique starting values for Hull, Shields, Speed, and Slots. In the available slots, you can choose which systems to equip from a list of 26 different options — including two that can't be purchased, only discovered during your adventures.
Captain's Orders
The crown jewel of space combat lies in the incomprehensible commands that every self-respecting Captain delivers to their crew — with dramatic, decisive, and urgent flair. At the start of each space combat turn, you’ll generate an order by randomly selecting entries from three columns of a d66 table. If the resulting command parts are compatible, you'll gain advantages in the upcoming turn!
